News - The Internet is of course "teeming" with sources of news much broader, clearer and less biased than our traditional sources. I hope this list will get very long over time.
Digg - Updates every second with stories and articles submitted by real people. Not always true stories, but if their not they usually get "Dug" down and exposed.
NewsVine - Articles ranked according to how often they are viewed. And just like Digg you can comment on articles.
YouTube - Millions of videos, and adding more every second. YouTube is the king and if you haven't been there, you need to see what interesting things people can put in a video.

Search Engines -
Google - If you haven't heard of Google than you've been on another planet.
Yahoo - Not as big as google, but big enough.

Browsers - There are a few more choices than just Internet Explorer.
Mozilla Firefox - Firefox is the biggest challenge to IE and is growing everyday. Just as easy to operate and with less virus potential. Also, many more add ons.
Opera - Great design and some unique features.

Social Networking -
MySpace - They are the biggest at the moment.
FaceBook - Gaining in popularity
